Reminder about peddlers

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform residents that there is no need to have tap water tested because it is safe to drink and is systematically analyzed to ensure quality. Tap water is drinkable and does not need to be tested.

This reminder is necessary because some residents have received offers from peddlers to perform analyses on drinking water samples in the area.

The City would like to remind residents that a permit for peddling or solicitation services is required for all door-to-door sales of goods or services.

You can contact the Inspection – Public Security Department at any time (514-630-1234) if you have any questions.

An inspector can also visit your home to confirm if a private company has the permit required to operate in the city.
