La Sinfonia de l’Ouest

The Sinfonia de l’Ouest is a new chamber orchestra from the West Island combining experienced professional musicians with young professionals and advanced students. The string orchestra at the core of this ensemble is joined by oboes, bassoons, and horns to perform a varied repertoire of Baroque, classical and contemporary music.
Works: Mozart, Divertimento in F major, K. 138; Vivaldi, Summer, from The Four Seasons; Handel, The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, from Solomon; Pachelbel, Canon and Gigue in D major; Handel, Water Music Suite No. 1

A guide with specialized knowledge offers a tour of ongoing exhibitions at the Art Gallery before Summer Evening in the Park Festival concerts. Coffee, tea, and cookies will be served.
