An illustrator first and foremost, Céline Malépart has been passionate about drawing and colours since she was a child. After illustrating more than 30 children’s books, it was sewing that inspired her to write her last two books, the most recent being À quoi ça sert…une mouche, un chat et une patate? She draws inspiration for her stuffed animals and books from her illustrations. Her stuffed animal collection, Céline et ses bidules, features dogs, cats, bugs, ants and peppers. Recently, Céline has also discovered the joys of painting on wood and on cardboard and has created a floral world filled with human-like dogs and cats. With her writing, illustrations, painting and sewing, Céline Malépart can now invent her own cartoon universe that is humorous, playful, romantic, furry, and quite absurd!
