Pictura is an event dedicated to painting in which over thirty galleries, artist-run spaces, and independent venues take part, with the objective of showcasing the richness, diversity and importance of this medium in Montréal, where it has a rich and strong history.
Stewart Hall Art Gallery hosts Pictorial Researches, featuring the work of five accomplished Montréal-based painters working in abstraction within a contemporary painting practice. Each artist has a reputation for investigating a style and body of work all their own, which has added something significant to the history of abstract painting in Montréal.
