Threads and patience… with Valérie Gobeil
October 6 to November 25
Stewart Hall Kids' Corner
Exhibition for kids
Valérie Gobeil’s practice questions the place of fibre and textile techniques in contemporary art. Thread canvases, fabric sculptures, and works on paper combine to give us a glimpse into her experimentations. The notion of time is crucial since time does not exist: the satisfaction of a job well done surpasses temporality. Valérie Gobeil’s work has been presented in Canada, France, and Hungary, and is also part of many private and municipal collections.
