VERNISSAGE: SPECTRES AND BEHIND THE ARTIST
Three artists draw inspiration from renowned painter Guido Molinari’s creative process to build interactive or kinetic sculptures. By merging the past with the present, the art of painting with that of screens, viewers can contemplate the similarities between the master artist and the machines of our generation.
A travelling exhibition created by the Guido Molinari Foundation, presented with the collaboration of the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
Artists: Guido Molinari, Pascal Audet, Jean-Pierre Gauthier, Emmanuel Lagrange Paquet
BEHIND THE ARTIST: THE STUDIO
Molinari’s art studio is located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood, still untouched and accessible. It is filled with the artist’s traces: dirty paintbrushes, paint, notes written on the wall. After visiting this studio, two art classes from Lindsay Place High School will share their artwork and thoughts on the importance of an art studio and what we can find there.
