Xylon Outside the Norms
September 3 to October 16
Stewart Hall Art Gallery
Vernissage: September 7, 7 p.m.
By bringing new media into the art of relief printing, changing some of its aspects, and rethinking its use, the artists of Xylon Outside the Norms defy convention and reinvent their discipline. For this exhibition, XylonQuébec has invited three accomplished engravers and chosen 24 others whose innovative practices challenge the codes of print media.

The Birds Enjoyed It Too: 100 Springs at Stewart Hall
The title, from one of Christina Morna MacLean’s photo albums, speaks of a time when life was good at Stewart Hall. Photographs and archival stories bear witness to the mansion’s 100 years of existence, giving us defining moments in the history of the building and those who once lived in it.
