Inspection – Public Security
Mission
To contribute to citizens’ quality of life by enforcing Pointe-Claire’s by-laws and protecting the territory with integrity and vigilance.
Role
Inspection – Public Security Department is responsible for:
- providing 24/7 telephone, e-mail and in-person assistance to citizens and authorities when needed
- ensuring citizen safety through prevention campaigns
- participating in the implementation of emergency measures
- assisting the staff of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM)
- providing security during events
- ensuring compliance with municipal by-laws
- working with shelters to provide animal control on the territory and following up with pet owners
