Inspection – Public Security

Mission

To contribute to citizens’ quality of life by enforcing Pointe-Claire’s by-laws and protecting the territory with integrity and vigilance.

Role

Inspection – Public Security Department is responsible for:

  • providing 24/7 telephone, e-mail and in-person assistance to citizens and authorities when needed
  • ensuring citizen safety through prevention campaigns
  • participating in the implementation of emergency measures
  • assisting the staff of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM)
  • providing security during events
  • ensuring compliance with municipal by-laws
  • working with shelters to provide animal control on the territory and following up with pet owners
