2018 Cultural Rendez-Vous – Folk by the Lake

The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, invites residents to the Cultural Rendez-Vous on May 26 and 27 at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre. The theme this year is Folk by the Lake.

“This springtime event brings together nearly 2,000 visitors who take part in this highly popular Cultural Rendez-Vous offering a wide variety of outdoor workshops and cultural activities for the whole family,” stated Mayor Belvedere.

The entertainment planned throughout the two-day event is as varied as it is creative, allowing everyone to discover new talents in dance, music, and circus performances, as well as art and circus workshops.

Musical bike and pony rides will delight young children. A motor skill activity zone will also be set up especially for children under the age of five.

Artisans will share their know-how during skill demonstrations, while local producers will showcase their products at the country market.

Participants can also enjoy several exhibitions featuring various art forms, from naïve art to the Contemporary Native Art Biennial, and even photography, crafts, and the creation of an imaginary henhouse.

Activities are free and take place on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre (176 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road).
