Flags at half-mast to show solidarity
Showing solidarity with the Americans and compassion for the victims and their families, Mr. Morris Trudeau, Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, has put the Florida and US flags at half-mast following the attacks that occurred in Orlando over night between Saturday and Sunday.
“This symbolic gesture expresses our solidarity with the United States in times of suffering such as this. We are saddened by the acts of violence committed, and our thoughts are with all citizens who are directly or indirectly affected by these tragic incidents,” stated Mayor Trudeau.
The flags of Quebec, Canada and the City are also at half-mast.
“In these trying times, we send our condolences to the victims’ families.”
