Update : City of Montréal repair work on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road

The city of Montréal will be performing work to modernize the water supply system on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road, between Jasper and De La Pointe-Claire avenues from January 11 to 18, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will be maintained in alternating directions.

City of Montréal repair work : Modernization of the water supply system Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road

The city will be performing work to modernize the water supply system on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road, between Jasper and De La Pointe-Claire avenues, from November 2, 2020 to the week of November 23, 2020.

This work is part of the project to optimize the main drinking water supply system in the greater Montréal area. The construction and repair of the infrastructure required to regulate pressure will facilitate the management and operation of the water supply system and will reduce water main breaks.

Traffic on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road:

  • Partial closure between Jasper and De La Pointe-Claire avenues
  • Alternating traffic controlled by traffic lights

Drivers are asked to show caution around the work zones, drive at moderate speeds and respect the signage in place.

Work duration and schedule

  • From November 2, 2020 to the week of November 23, 2020
  • Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Please note that work activities may be moved or extended due to unfavourable weather conditions or other constraints.

Drinking water supply

This work will have no impact on the drinking water supply or its quality.

Impact of the work

  • Street parking: Parking restrictions will apply in the work zone and on neighbouring streets.
  • Access to buildings: Pedestrian access to the buildings around the work site will be maintained at all times. Sidewalks will generally be accessible but may be obstructed during certain phases of the work.
  • Public transit: Public transit will be maintained. Schedules, routes and bus stop locations may change. Please contact the STM-INFO service (514-786-4636 or WWW.STM.INFO/EN).
  • Noise and dust: Noise and dust may be generated by trucks circulating in the area.
  • Garbage and recycling collection: The contractor will move bins and bags outside of the work area on collection days. Please identify your bins.
