Cross-country skiing and hiking trails at the Beaconsfield Golf Club

The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, and the members of City Council are pleased to announce a new outdoor activity for Pointe-Claire citizens to enjoy this winter thanks to a new cross-country skiing and hiking trail at the Beaconsfield Golf Club.

“We are committed to constantly improving the municipal services available to our residents, and this pilot project is part of that commitment. In the context of the pandemic that we are all facing, this is another opportunity to be active and enjoy nature and the joys of winter close to home. We hope that there will soon be snow and that winter conditions will be favourable to these activities,” the mayor said.

The two-kilometre loop course will be set up on the grounds of the Beaconsfield Golf Club for classic cross-country skiing and nature walks from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The course will be open as soon as enough snow has covered the ground.

This activity is reserved for Pointe-Claire residents on presentation of a MULTI Card and is offered free of charge. Registration is mandatory at the entrance of the course, on Cartier Avenue.

Stay tuned for the opening announcement on the City’s social media accounts. The condition of the ski trail will also be updated regularly on the Outdoor Rinks and Cross-Country Skiing page.
