Ecocentre Days

Two more days to dispose of your waste in an environmentally friendly way

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to remind residents that the Ecocentre, located in the Public Works yard at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue, will be open on September 17 and October 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We encourage you to bring items you want to dispose of so that they can be reused, recycled or repurposed,” says Mayor Trudeau. “These very simple actions help reduce the amount of waste that is sent to the landfill, with no added value, and cut down on greenhouse gas emissions.”

Items accepted at the Ecocentre include excavation material, construction debris, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, tires, small appliances, appliances containing halocarbons such as refrigerators, freezers and chillers, upholstered articles, computer equipment, sporting goods, yard waste, and wood, except hardwood.

In addition to accepting waste, the Ecocentre will distribute compost free of charge on October 15 exclusively.

We also want to remind you that the Saint-Laurent Ecocentre, located at 3535 Sartelon Street in Montréal, is open to West Island residents every day between April 15 and October 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The rest of the year, it is open Tuesday to Saturday, excluding holidays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
