Union Jack at half-mast to show solidarity

Expressing Pointe-Claire’s solidarity with the people of Great Britain and compassion for victims and their families, the mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, Morris Trudeau, has ordered the Union Jack to be flown at half-mast in front of City Hall following the attack in London on March 22.

“This symbolic gesture shows our solidarity with Great Britain,” says the mayor. “We are deeply saddened by the acts of violence carried out in London. Our thoughts go out to all citizens affected by these tragic events, either directly or indirectly.”

The City’s flag is also being flown at half-mast.
