Inventory of trees in the public territory

The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that, from July 4 to October 15, a forest engineering firm will conduct an inventory of trees on the city’s public properties.

This project will allow an update of the urban forestry picture in Pointe-Claire and the possible actions for its conservation. The following elements will be evaluated, in particular:

  • location and georeferencing of public and boundary trees;
  • general health condition of the trees;
  • prescription of arboricultural work depending on the intervention priorities;
  • potential planting sites.

This inventory is the second phase of the project. The first phase was conducted last year and involved an inventory of public and private ash trees. This project arises from the urban forestry policy, which seeks to maintain and improve the urban canopy.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
