Landscaping work to begin at Hermitage Park

The City would like to inform you that landscaping work will begin at Hermitage Park to improve the park’s accessibility and overall appearance. The project, which will completely revitalize the park, will last approximately twelve weeks.

The soccer field surface will be entirely redeveloped: its foundation will be rebuilt, a drainage and sprinkler system will be installed, and the grass will be replaced. Paths and rest areas will also be redesigned and entrances on Glenforest and Greystone Avenues will be added to ensure universal accessibility. Fifteen trees will be planted, two bleachers and a floral arrangement will be added, and a drinking fountain will be installed.

In order to ensure everyone’s safety, we ask park users to stay out of the fenced security perimeter and to obey the temporary signage that has been installed while the work is in progress.
