Last bulky item and mattress, sofa and armchair collections of the year

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to remind you that the last bulky item collection for 2020 is on Wednesday, October 7, and the last mattress, sofa and armchair collection is on Wednesday, October 7, for sector A, and Thursday, October 8, for sector B.

Here are a few guidelines:

  • Your items must be placed curbside, at the end your driveway, after 6 p.m. the day before or by 7 a.m. on the day of the collection.
  • For each address or multi-unit building, a maximum of 10 items, or the equivalent of 5 cubic metres, is allowed.
  • Sharp or potentially dangerous items must be made safe (e.g., remove nails, screws or other)
  • Items should be tied together in bundles to avoid them getting scattered and to facilitate removal

Bulky items as well as mattresses, sofas and armchairs are also accepted at the Ecocentre day, which will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue. This is the last ecocentre day of 2020. Due to the pandemic, no assistance will be provided on site to unload items.

Pointe-Claire residents also have access to the agglomeration of Montréal ecocentres, which are open all year round. The closest ecocentre is located at 3535 Rue Sartelon, Saint-Laurent.
