March 3 to 11 – Enjoy the many activities offered during Spring Break

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform residents of the many activities offered during Spring Break from March 3 to 11.

The Library welcomes children and their families for workshops that are as different as they are fun. Little ones can attend story hours centred around dragons and stereotypes. Older children can participate in a LEGO® Club activity where they can build objects related to the theme “Build what you like,” as well as workshops where they can create a flashlight and a mobile made with branches and decorated with birds! The whole family is also invited to a family movie screening. Popcorn will be served.

Everyone can enjoy public skating at Bob-Birnie Arena and have fun on the ice with their family and friends. Public skating times are Monday to Thursday, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.; Friday, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, from 1 to 2:20 p.m. Public skating is free for Pointe-Claire residents when they show their MULTI Card.

Activities at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre will make it come alive with music! In collaboration with Jeunesses musicales du Canada, children will discover the songs and tunes that underscored family life in New France during Canada’s early history and dive into the world of the great composer Mozart. A family performance of tales from Africa and Martinique will introduce children to the animals in the jungle, each represented by a different instrument! Children will also make large cardboard characters with an opening for their head in a craft workshop, a fun and creative way to embody their characters! Passes are required for these activities.

The Aquatic Centre is adding recreational swimming times to the regular schedule. Everyone is invited to have fun in the water on Monday to Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. Recreational swimming on weekends is free for residents when they show their MULTI Card.

Pointe-Claire residents can get their MULTI Card at the Central Library, the Aquatic Centre, or City Hall (proof of identity and proof of residence are required).

For more information, see the March Break section in the calendar.
