Mother’s Day celebrated with an outdoor concert
The City of Pointe-Claire celebrated Mother’s Day with a lively mobile concert travelling around seniors’ residences.
To bring this exceptional programming to as many people as possible, the concert was performed on a flat-bed truck that travelled around displaying messages of encouragement and cheerful images. Buddy, the City mascot, was also there to spread his message of hope. Swing dancers performed and gave a participatory demonstration.
This initiative was received with great enthusiasm by participants, who took part in the celebration by clapping their hands and dancing a few dance steps from their balcony or window.
The Inspection – Public Security team was on hand to ensure everyone’s safety, as well as compliance with distancing measures for those on the street.
In these trying times when families are separated, this cheerful little escape helped bring joy to the hearts of all the mothers present.
