Pointe-Claire villages launch the Holiday festivities

Children and adults are invited to kick off the Holiday season with their community during the festivities organized in the City of Pointe-Claire’s two villages.

On Saturday, November 23, the Pointe-Claire Village will host several activities as part of the long-awaited Light Up the Village event. Starting at 1 p.m., the streets will be brimming with activities: inflatable structures, giant games, petting zoo, carols, a fire and light show and food stands.

The day’s festivities will conclude with the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree at 5 p.m. Merchants are invited to join in the celebrations by lighting up their storefront at the same time and selling hot chocolate.

On Tuesday, November 26, Valois Village will be the hub of the festivities as it welcomes the passage of the Holiday Train. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the village will come alive with stilt walkers, light-up balloons, dance performances, music and an art workshop.

Hot chocolate, coffee and pastries will be available for purchase in the village shops.

A non-perishable food drive will be held on site to help families in need as the Holidays approach.

The train will pass by the Valois Train Station between 7:45 and 8 p.m.

Both events are organized in collaboration with the Pointe-Claire Village Association and the Valois Village merchants, respectively.
