Pointe-Claire Youth Advisory Board seeking candidates for its second mandate

The City of Pointe-Claire is currently seeking candidates to sit on the Youth Advisory Board for the next year.

The Youth Advisory Board was set up in November 2018 to allow 10 young Pointe-Claire residents aged 14 to 21 who are involved in the community to contribute to municipal affairs for a one-year term. The Board has the support of a City Councillor, a city manager and a school representative.

During their mandate, board members will analyze projects and make recommendations to City Council with a view to improving activities, services and public facilities to better meet the needs of Pointe-Claire’s young residents.

The Board is also invited to represent the City of Pointe-Claire at events and activities, such as the inauguration of the skatepark in June.

Any young Pointe-Claire residents wishing to get involved in their community have until September 13, 2019, to submit their application. Candidates will be evaluated based on criteria such as community involvement.
