Record advance polling numbers – Nearly 20,000 electors expected Sunday for the municipal vote

The returning officer would like to remind eligible citizens that they are all invited to exercise their right to vote on Sunday, November 5.

At advance polling last Sunday, 2,396 electors made their voice heard, representing 10% of the total population eligible to vote. This represents a significant increase from 2013, where only 7.5% of voters took part, and is a record turnout for advance polling.

Exercising your right to vote is a very important democratic duty. Members of City Council are your representatives. They establish planning and usage guidelines and priorities that have a lasting impact on the quality of the environment in which you live.

We invite everyone to exercise their right to vote on Sunday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can click HERE to find your polling station.

Starting at 8 p.m. on November 5, the results will be broadcast in real time in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 451 Saint-Jean Boulevard, and on the website on the 2017 Elections page.
