Update – Postponement of the second instalment of municipal tax payments

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to announce that the June 1 deadline for the second instalment of municipal taxes that was postponed to July 2 is now extended to August 31 to provide relief to citizens and merchants in the current context.
Accordingly, all postdated cheques issued for the second instalment of the annual tax bill will only be deposited on August 31, 2020. For pre-authorized payments made in two instalments, the June 1 payment will be withdrawn on August 31, 2020. Pre-authorized monthly payment dates and amounts will be kept as is; however, a credit equivalent to 60 days for the months of July and August 2020 will be placed in the file. Payment for all other bills due between March 25, 2020 and August 30, 2020, will be extended to August 31, 2020.

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to remind you that the June 1 deadline for the second instalment of municipal taxes has been postponed to July 2 in order to provide relief to citizens in the current context.
Accordingly, all postdated cheques issued for the second instalment of the annual tax bill will only be deposited on July 2, 2020. For pre-authorized payments made in two instalments, the June 1 payment will be withdrawn on July 2, 2020. Pre-authorized monthly payment dates will be kept as is; however, a credit equivalent to 30 days has been placed in the file for the month of June 2020.
There are several ways to make your payment:
- at a financial institution
- online or through an ATM (allow two working days for your payment to be processed by your financial institution)
- in person at the City Hall multiservice counter (open Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.). Response delays are to be expected due to reduced staff on site. Only debit cards and cheques will be accepted.
