Sports and recreational camps certified by the Association des camps du Québec

The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to announce that its sports and recreational camp program has received certification of compliance with the Cadre de référence pour les camps de jour municipaux from the Association des camps du Québec (ACQ), focusing on the best practices to ensure that programs provide a safe, quality experience.

“We care about the health and safety of our children, and this certification demonstrates our commitment to constantly improving the services we offer for the entire community,” stated the mayor of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere.

The cultural and nautical camps are in the process of obtaining the same certification.

Our day camps offer a safe, accessible environment for children aged 3½ to 16, who can enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the summer:

  • The cultural camps provide stimulating experiences focused on science, culinary arts, dance, theatre, and the circus.
  • The sports and recreational camps offer dynamic and creative activities with a different theme every week.
  • The paddling camps offer a safe environment for campers to discover nautical sports or improve their skills. This year, parents can register their children for the canoe camp on Week 9 of the camp program (August 19 to 23) on a day-to-day basis.

The Handbook for Parents contains important information for a fun, enriching, and safe experience for everyone. A new section about heat waves and preventive measures at camp and at home has also been added.

Registration will begin on Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. for residents and Monday, April 8 at 9 a.m. for non-residents. Sign up for Leisure News to receive emails with important dates and summer programs a few days before the registration period begins.
