Start of reconstruction work on Kinsmen Park chalet

The City would like to inform residents that the reconstruction of the Kinsmen Park chalet has started with completion slated for June 2018. The new building will include new change rooms and a multipurpose room available for a range of activities for people of all ages – from toddlers to adults – and for users of both the park and the pool.

The project also includes replacing the filtration system of the pool and reconstructing the adjacent wading pool. As part of our vision focused on sustainable development, a section of the lot located near the pool will be converted into green space.

“As early as next year, everyone will be able to enjoy a fun, refreshing summer with their family,” said Mayor Trudeau.

The south parking lot will be closed during the reconstruction work. In order to maintain traffic in the area during this period, detours will be placed to direct road users.
