STM bus service enhancement

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) would like to inform residents about improved bus services on the 209 – Des Sources and the 419 – Express John-Abbott lines on the territory of Pointe-Claire starting today.

209 – Des Sources

The 209 will now be operating on weekends. This additional service will provide customers with average intervals of 25 minutes between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays, making public transit more accessible for current and potential customers in the West Island. Transit will be improved mainly along the Des Sources corridor to facilitate transportation to Dorval and the Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau airport and connection from the Dorval train station to the West Island’s east-west lines.

This is a permanent enhancement.

419 – Express John Abbott

The STM will extend service on the 419 – Express John Abbott line to Saturdays and Sundays during the summer only, like last summer, but with longer service hours. This will provide customers with average intervals of 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and offer users from the West Island access to the Ecomuseum Zoo from the Fairview terminus, with a stop on Chemin Sainte-Marie in each direction. Furthermore, the 419 will go all the way to the MacDonald terminus during this period to facilitate connections for customers.

This enhancement will remain in effect for the summer, until August 26.
