Update: Development work on the new bicycle path on Douglas-Shand Avenue

Development work on the new bicycle path on the south side of Douglas-Shand Avenue, between Saint-Jean Boulevard and Maywood Avenue, will continue until the end of July.

To speed up the project and ensure everyone’s safety on the site, Douglas-Shand Avenue eastbound will be restricted from July 16 to 27. Motorists coming from the north on Saint-Jean Boulevard will be redirected onto Chaucer Avenue, while those coming from the south can take Springdale, El Dorado, and Donegani Avenues.

This project will allow the City to continue developing an integrated bicycle path network to encourage and facilitate active transportation and sustainable development. The network will be connected to existing paths on Maywood and Douglas-Shand Avenues.

Access to the Public Library and Civic-Centre Avenue will be maintained at all times.

Thank you for your cooperation.
