The Olympic Way (Ages 2 to 16)

Non-swimmers learn to swim using a swimming aid, which allows them to spend more time swimming. As they progress through the eight swimming levels, they become proficient at the four competitive swim strokes.

Not all levels are offered at all times.

P-C Windmills Intramural Swim (Ages 9 to 16)

Two programs are available: a Junior (9-13 years) and a Senior (12-16 years) non-competitive swim program with the goal of perfecting strokes, learning some elementary racing techniques and increasing fitness.

Learn to dive (Ages 5 to 15)

The Learn to Dive Program is divided into eight diving levels, from beginners to advanced. The five compulsory dives (front dive, back dive, reverse dive, inward dive, and half twist) are introduced in progressive series. A child must master every skill at each level before progression to the next. In order to preserve the integrity of each class, we reserve the right to transfer children who are not in the appropriate level.

Classes start with 20 minutes of fitness and games. Gym and Swim (2 years old)

Gym and Swim (Homeschooling families)

This is a 1 hour gym and swim program for homeschooled children aged 3 years and older. The program offers age appropriate activities where children can build a solid background in motor co-ordination through play. Under careful supervision children have the opportunity to develop an awareness of body in space through running, climbing, jumping, throwing, catching and rhythms. After a half hour of gym activities, the children go to the pool for a half hour of swimming instruction.

Aqua Percept (Ages 3 and up)

A non-competitive, gym and swim program for children who might not otherwise participate in regular physical activities. This may be due to poor coordination, perceptual motor difficulties or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. A ratio of 3 children to 1 instructor along with positive reinforcement have made this program a resounding success.

Aqua Percept Sport (Ages 8 to 13)

This is an Aqua Percept program that has been modified to cater to older children. The first hour consists of group gym activities. The second hour includes swimming lessons and group pool games.

Bronze Cross (Ages 14 and up)

Standard First Aid / AED (Ages 15 and up)

The Lifesaving Standard First Aid course prepares the candidate to take on the role of medical attendant during an emergency situation. The candidate will learn specific first aid and treatment strategies to prevent further injury while waiting for the arrival of emergency medical services. The candidate is also trained to recognize signs and symptoms of potential danger. Please check dates and times below carefully as 100% attendance is mandatory. Olympic Way Instructor (Ages 15 and up)

The Olympic Way Instructor course is a certificate program designed to give participants a solid foundation in the Olympic Way swimming program. Swimming lessons

Two levels of instruction are offered: the Beginner course is designed to teach the basic swimming strokes and to foster a feeling of safety and comfort in the water; the Stroke Improvement course is intended for the swimmer who is looking to better his style and increase his proficiency and endurance in the water. All lessons are held in the 6-lane pool except Tuesday class, which will be in the 25-yard pool.

Arthritics Gym Fitness

This class has been integrated into the Fit ’n Sit membership which can be found under Fitness Over Fifty program. This new membership offers clients with arthritis or related conditions access to more than one chair exercise class. The classes include a complete warm-up and stretch as well as gentle exercises with the use of a chair. The program is designed to help participants to be autonomous for as long as possible.

Group Fitness

We offer a variety of group fitness classes to improve all components of physical well-being: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, as well as flexibility. Classes are given by qualified instructors and are designed to suit participant’s needs and abilities.
