Schedules and facilities – Aquatic Centre

Since 1967, Pointe-Claire has had a high-calibre Aquatic Centre offering diverse programming for all ages. The location is perfectly suited for fitness programs, recreational swimming, swimming and diving lessons, and lifesaving courses.

Reception hours  
Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 to 9 p.m.

Residents: Thursdays starting at 7 p.m.

Non-residents: Sundays starting at 7 p.m.

All non-resident participants must register with a LUDIK number. To receive a number, please contact the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre at 514-630-1202 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday or at  aquatique@pointe-claire.ca.

Reservations will close one hour prior to the designated time slots.

Regulations

General information

  • When reserving online, clients will be asked to read and accept the regulations and policies to limit the spread of COVID-19.
  • Consumption of food is not permitted in the facility.

Weight Room

  • Clients will have to disinfect equipment BEFORE and AFTER use (the disinfectant spray must be sprayed onto a paper towel and not directly on the equipment).

Pickleball

  • A limited number of clients will be allowed in the gym.
  • We ask clients to respect their scheduled time.
  • Clients will have to disinfect equipment BEFORE and AFTER use (the disinfectant spray must be sprayed onto a paper towel and not directly on the equipment).

Schedule

Schedule starting March 14

The City reserves the right to modify or cancel access to recreational swimming during competitions, special events or the Holidays. See the Schedule modifications section below.

Lap swim – Restricted to ages 12 and up. Pool set up is either at 25 m or 50 m. Pool set-up and swim locations are subject to change.
Leisure swim (adult) – In the 25 yard pool. Restricted to ages 16 and up.
Family – In the Malcolm Knox pool. Toys, mats, nets and more are available to play with.
Funtime – In the 25 yard pool. A slide and toys are available, and the baby pool is open.
Diving boards – In the George Gate pool. The 1 metre, 3 metre diving boards, and the 5 metre tower are available, unless otherwise indicated.

WEIGHT ROOM

All of our Weight Room monitors are certified personal trainers who are capable of designing safe and effective exercise programs. Entry is restricted to those 14 years and older.

One court is available in the gym at the Aquatic Centre.
All equipment is provided.

  • four platforms (3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m) and five springboards (1m and 3m)

Malcolm Knox Pool

  • 6 lanes
  • 50m long
  • 1m to 1.4m deep


25-yard Pool

  • 25 yards long
  • 1 to 1.2m deep
  • swing, slide, and water toys available on site


Wading Pool

  • 0.7m deep
  • Toys and balls available on site


Weight Room

  • cardiovascular and weight-training equipment
  • qualified trainers available on site
