Launch of the seasonal collection of branches in Pointe-Claire!

The early snowmelt has enabled the City to start collecting branches throughout Pointe-Claire a few weeks earlier than the planned date of May 1. You may therefore start placing your branches on your property alongside the public way for collection.

To ensure collection efficiency, please note the following guidelines:

  • The cut side of the branches must face the street.
  • The branch diameter shall be no greater than 10 cm (4 inches).
  • The maximum height of branch piles must be of 1.2 m (4 feet).
  • Avoid mixing other waste with branches, as this may delay collection.

We would like to remind you that you no longer need to contact the City to request the collection of branches, as a municipal truck will cover the territory using predetermined routes, so that collection runs smoothly. Branch collection will span over a period of 21 days.

If a contractor comes to prune or fell a tree on your property, they must ensure the proper management of wood and branches. Remember to obtain the required permit before starting any work!

You can consult the City of Pointe-Claire website for more information on branch collection.
