Mamoutou Dembele (EMDE), multi-instrumentalist from Mali, who is a descendant of the “Bobo” ethnic group, fuses his native language to Bambara and plays instruments of various ages and traditions. He even creates his own instruments, including his exclusive 15-string instrument, somewhere between the kora and the kamelengoni (n’goni), which he calls “bahouinou” (the strings of a man), and whose exceptional idyllic sounds transport us to the heart of modern West Africa.
