Finissage and performance

At the closing event for De terre et d’onde / This shore is a body is a world is a house, artist Catherine Boivin, Atikamekw Nehirowisiw originally from the community of Wemotaci, will present a piece that is heavily inspired by her culture. Echoing her works in the Stewart Hall Art Gallery that deal with the connection between the body, the earth and its roots, Boivin will perform ritualistic gestures of care toward the land. Through these actions, she attentively treats its past and present traumas while revealing its inherent resilience.
