“Kleyn Kabaret” means “little cabaret” in Yiddish, the language of the Jewish communities of Central and Eastern Europe. Composed of songs that were sung in the privacy of homes, lullabies, ghetto songs, old songs and some pieces from the Ashkenazi (European Jew) liturgy, this repertoire is particularly beautiful and moving, combining both poetry and history, is particularly beautiful and emotional.
