Join Scotiabank Giller Prize-winning Montreal author Sean Michaels for an intimate evening exploring his latest novel, Do You Remember Being Born, the story of a 75-year-old poet named Marian who collaborates with a Big Tech company’s new poetry AI, named Charlotte. “A tender and moving character portrait,” wrote The New York Times, and “a jumping-off point for timeless meditations on art, family, connection and the meaning of a life.” It’s also a meditation on AI and the contemporary world: Michaels will discuss the book’s making as well as his past work (Us Conductors, The Wagers). An evening with wine and cheese.
