Bamboo has the blues. It’s yearning for its roots. From this was born a project that combines music and poetry, Japanese sounds and blues atmospheres. Poetry through voice and the spoken word, blends with guitars, shakuhachi, and urban drum rhythms. This is a sacred journey that leads us from the Zen-like Japanese countryside, to vibrating urban centres, all the while channeling the spirit of the Deep South, and the great Mississippi River.

Michel Dubeau, shakuhachi, bass clarinet, soprano saxophone; Fredric Gary Comeau, vocals; David Gauthier, guitar; Alain Boyer, drums; Michel Viau, bass
