Vernissage – Cruel to be Kind – Pictura 2023
Description
Featured in the context of the second edition of Pictura, Cruel to be Kind examines contradictions and points of convergence. The project will unfold across three distinct venues and each phase will open at different intervals during the fall of 2023. At Stewart Hall Art Gallery, the exhibition focuses on painting practices that transcend the boundaries of the traditional canvas or panel, embracing new and unexpected planes and thereby expanding the arena of the pictorial onto the sculptural, onto the architectural.
