De terre et d’onde / This shore is a body is a world is a houseWhat memories are harbored in the soil, in the waves that reach the shore? What can we learn from the foundations of our built environments? This exhibition brings together three artists whose practices engage in dialogue with the natural and cultural heritage of Stewart Hall to examine our relationship to the land and our ways of inhabiting it. From historical, embodied, and poetic perspectives, their works invite us to reflect on notions of belonging and uprooting as a way to cultivate new ways of coexisting. Atelier de bibliothérapie jeunesseMs. Émilie invites your child to take part in an activity that feels good! In a friendly atmosphere, she begins by reading aloud an album that addresses a universal theme. This is followed by a snack break designed to stretch the body and encourage socialization. Allergy-free snacks provided. In the second half, it’s up to the kids! They are encouraged to identify and express the emotions that reading has brought out in them. The meeting ends with a creative activity that allows the more discreet children to express their emotions in ways other than words. The activity is designed to be intergenerational, as Ms. Émilie is assisted by a kind volunteer grandmother. Film en soiréeMalartic Directed by Nicolas Paquet Ten years after an enormous open-pit gold mine began operations in Malartic, the hoped-for economic miracle is nothing more than a mirage.
