REM – Preparatory work in the Pointe-Claire area
When: April 24 to 26 and April 30. The work will be done solely during weeknights, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Where: On Highway 40, from Saint-Jean Boulevard to Sources Boulevard
Nature of the work
The work will involve a public utilities identification campaign, a prerequisite to designing and constructing the REM infrastructure.
Impact
- To ensure the safety of the work team, there will be alternating lane closures during the night (between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.) on weekdays on Highway 40.
- There will be no traffic obstructions days and weekends.
- There will be no impact on Highway 40 traffic.
This identification campaign may generate noise and dust, but the impact on neighbouring homes will be minor because the work will be done in the right-of-way of a commercial segment on Highway 40.
