Flavours of Pointe-Claire cookbook – $9,150 for the West Island Palliative Care Residence
Morris Trudeau, mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, is proud to announce that proceeds from the sale of Flavours of Pointe-Claire, in the amount of $9,150, have been given to the West Island Palliative Care Residence. The cookbook was created with the community to celebrate the Public Library’s 50th anniversary.
“We’re proud to give this sum to a Pointe-Claire organization that plays a major role in the quality of life provided to people at the end of their lives,” says Mayor Trudeau. “It’s a way for us to give back to the community.”
“This is a significant amount that will help us enhance our services and keep on improving them,” says Jessica Newey, coordinator at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. “Our goal is to provide the best possible care for our patients and their families.”
“Flavours of Pointe-Claire contains over 130 recipes coming from Pointe-Claire,” says Mayor Trudeau. “These recipes were shared by nearly one hundred citizens. The book is a unique creation that reflects our community: it’s generous, varied, and inclusive, and it brings people together.”
Several copies of the book are available at the Library to be borrowed.
