Appointment of an Assistant City Manager for the City of Pointe-Claire
The municipal council of the City of Pointe-Claire ratified, during the meeting of Tuesday, September 5, the appointment of Mr. Gilles Girouard as Assistant City Manager (ACM) of the City of Pointe-Claire. He will take office on September 11, and will support the City Manager in carrying out numerous mandates and projects.
Girouard possesses a CPA/CMA degree from the John Molson School of Business and a MBA from Concordia University, while also holding a graduate certificate in Sports Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance, from the same institutions.
Having been a City of Pointe-Claire employee since 2004, Mr. Girouard has nearly 20 years of experience in the municipal sector. He notably worked as section head at the Canoe Kayak Club, before pursuing his career at the Bob-Birnie Arena. In 2015, he was appointed Planner of the Administrative Office of the Department of Culture, Sports, Recreation and Community Development, and was later named Director of the department in 2019.
