Update: Tests by the City of Montréal on the water supply system
Updated: October 4, 2021
The City of Montréal will continue its tests on the water supply system in Pointe-Claire on Tuesday, October 5 and Thursday, October 7.
These operations could cause discoloured water for residents living between Hymus Boulevard and Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road, and between Saint-Jean Boulevard and the western boundary of the city. See the map below for details.
This discolouration results from pressure fluctuations in the pipes that cause mineral particles naturally stuck to the walls of the pipe to become detached. It is recommended to let the water run for a few minutes (about 10 to 15 minutes) until it is clear again before using it. The water remains drinkable unless specified otherwise.
Thank you for your understanding and your cooperation.
