Call for candidates: Youth Advisory Board

The City of Pointe-Claire is looking for dynamic and committed young applicants to become volunteer members of the Youth Advisory Board for a 12-month term, from September 2024 to August 2025.

This board is a volunteer work group made up of 10 young residents who meet to discuss any matter relating to the improvement of activities, services and special events, as well as facilities and policies, to better meet the needs of young people and to enable their participation in their community. Based on decisions made during their meetings, the board will make recommendations and suggest activities to City Council.

To ensure that the young people can contribute to their committee and effectively perform their role, the committee is supported by a member of the City Council, a member of City administration and a school representative.

We are looking for people with the following attributes and skills:

  • Between the age of 14 and 21
  • Pointe-Claire resident
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Involved in the community

Frequency:

Candidates must be available to attend a minimum of one meeting per month, on Wednesday evenings.
