Clearpoint Park lighting system replacement

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that work to replace the lighting system of the tennis courts at Clearpoint Park, located between Killarney Gardens and Lakeview avenues, will begin on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. The work will last until Tuesday October 10, 2023.

The lighting replacement project in Clearpoint Park’s five tennis courts meets the lighting level recommendations prescribed by the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society). This installation of about twenty Ephesus type lighting devices, a model especially designed for sports facilities, aims to offer a level of comfort to players thanks to the adjustment of the lighting system and the inclusion of a visor to limit glare. It will therefore be possible to have fun at any time of the day or evening.

In addition, the installation is made to minimize the light impact outside the sports arena. A similar replacement project was carried out in 2022 at Cedar Park Heights. This improvement of the facilities will be beneficial to sports fans and park users as well as for the peace and quiet of residents and residents bordering the park.

During the improvement work time, the tennis courts will only be available to people in the evening. Note that the grounds will be closed on Tuesday October 10 to carry out photometric tests.

Thank you for your cooperation.
