Come and congratulate the Pointe-Claire athletes who took part in the Paris Olympic Games
Is the Olympic flame still burning bright for you? The City of Pointe-Claire invites you to come and congratulate the Pointe-Claire Olympic athletes who took part in the 2024 Games in Paris. A public event is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre (60 Maywood Avenue). Registration is required to take part in the event.
On site, you can meet, chat and get autographs from the Pointe-Claire Olympians and take photos:
- Caeli Mckay and Nathan Zombor-Murray, diving athletes from the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club;
- Serena Browne, a Pointe-Claire resident and water polo athlete for Stanford University;
Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club swimmer Patrick Hussey will not be able to take part in the event.
Registration
To take part, you must reserve your place on LUDIK (ludik.pointe-claire.ca). Residents will be able to reserve their places from noon on Thursday, August 15, while non-residents will be able to do so from noon on Monday, August 19.
Various reservation blocks are available to minimize the wait time for meeting the athletes. Only one member per family needs to register for a family group (6 people or less).
Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the event, City of Pointe-Claire photographers and videographers, or those designated by the City, will take photos and videos that may be used by the City on all of its platforms for promotional, display and archival purposes. It is therefore possible that you could be recognized in one of these photos or seen in the videos. By participating in this event, you agree to be photographed and authorize the City of Pointe-Claire to use these images in print, digital or electronic format for promotional, display or archival purposes. If you do not wish your photo to be used, please notify us by e-mail at communications@pointe-claire.ca.
