Coyotes sighted in Pointe-Claire

There have been coyote sightings in Terra-Cotta Natural Park and near Ponner Avenue, at the eastern limit of the City. Attacks by wild animals are extremely rare. These are species that usually flee human beings. If you do meet a coyote, this is what you should do:

  • Do not feed it
  • Stay far away from it
  • Make noise
  • Walk away
  • Maintain eye contact

Also, remember always to keep your dog on a leash.
