Daniel Séguin named Treasurer and Director of Financial Services

The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, Morris Trudeau, and City Council members are pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Daniel Séguin as Treasurer and Director of Financial Services at the City of Pointe-Claire.

A member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, Mr. Séguin has a master’s degree in Business Administration and has worked for nearly 20 years as part of the management team of the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), where he assumed the responsibilities of chief accountant, director of strategic planning and project management and director of financial planning. He also worked in the private sector for over 13 years.

“His experience in optimizing financial processes, planning and administrative management will surely help us carry out current and future projects in the City of Pointe-Claire,” notes Mayor Trudeau.

“As part of his duties, Mr. Séguin will supervise budgetary and financial activities, as well as procurement and information technology. His expertise is an asset for the City of Pointe-Claire and will help us continue to improve our services and manage our resources in an effective and efficient manner,” adds the mayor of Pointe-Claire.

A citizen of Pointe-Claire, Mr. Séguin is also active in the community, notably as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Food Banks of Quebec network, an organization offering support to Quebecers living in poverty.

The nomination of Mr. Séguin was confirmed during the City Council meeting on June 6, and he will assume his duties on June 12.
