December 24 – Possible discolouration of drinking water

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that technical problems occurred this morning at the City of Montréal’s water production plant may cause coloured drinking water over the entire system.

If your water is coloured, it is recommended to run the tap for a few minutes until the water is clear again before consuming. The episodes of discoloured water result from water pressure fluctuations in the drinking water supply system that cause mineral particles that are naturally stuck to the walls of water mains to detach. The water remains drinkable.
