Digital Literacy Day: Stay informed of what’s new on the web!

Residents of all ages are invited to the Pointe-Claire Central Library on Saturday, September 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for mini-workshops to help them become more familiar with web tools.

Designed for all age groups, the interactive, educational workshops will be hosted by experts as part of the first Digital Literacy Day.

With littleBits, children will have fun building and programming small personal creations using magnetic blocks. Along with their families, they can also go on fantastic journeys and explore the world thanks to virtual reality.

For those who would like to improve their skills, experts will answer all of their questions about WordPress, Dropbox, Google Cloud, and Password Manager.

Residents can also take the opportunity to discover various online learning tools, such as Lynda.com and toutapprendre.com, available on the Library portal.

Activities will take place on Saturday, September 15 at the Central Library, located at 100 Douglas-Shand Avenue. Admission is free, but participants must register for activities at the Central Library.

The Central Library is also organizing other technology-themed activities in September and October. For more details, check the City’s leisure guide at the following link: Leisure Pointe-Claire.
