Distribution of water saving kits at upcoming Pointe-Claire events
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that, as part its water saving initiatives and to support citizens in the adoption of the new regulations regarding the usage of drinking water, the City will be offering water saving kits to residents, free of charge.
This initiative stems from the City’s 2023-2030 Strategic Plan, and aims to implement actions to accelerate the ecological transition of the City and the community. This water saving kit will help citizens take concrete measures to regulate and reduce their water consumption and modify their water usage habits.
Distribution of the water saving kits
The water saving kits will be distributed at the Valois Family Fair on Thursday, August 8 as well as at the International Celebration on Saturday, August 10. The kits will be offered on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.
There will be two kit options for residents to choose from, including:
- Kit 1: a fixed showerhead, a kitchen aerator, a bathroom aerator, Teflon tape, leak detection pills
- Kit 2: a handheld showerhead, a kitchen aerator, a bathroom aerator, Teflon tape, leak detection pills
There will also be a limited quantity of toilet tank banks distributed to residents. These are reserved for residents that have older toilet models that hold a capacity of 10L of water.
Residents must present a valid MULTI card or a proof of address to obtain their water saving kit, and the kits are limited to one per household.
Citizens who are unable to partake in these events but still wish to obtain a water saving kit can visit the City Hall reception desk as of Monday, August 12 to ask if a kit is still available.
