Financial support for Pointe-Claire seniors
The City of Pointe-Claire invites eligible citizens to apply for a grant from the financial support program for seniors from now until September 29, 2023.
This support is offered to anyone aged 65 or over residing in Pointe-Claire since May 1, 2023, as a tenant or homeowner and receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement paid by the Government of Canada under the Old Age Security Act.
The maximum amount per address is $100 and will be determined based on the total number of requests received. Only one request per address will be accepted.
Interested persons must present the following documents:
CHECKLIST:
- Grant application 2023 request form is attached to this mailing. You must complete and sign section A. If you are a tenant, section B must be signed by your landlord.
- A copy of a monthly bill issued in your name (electricity, telephone, cable, etc.) covering a period including May 1, 2023. If you are unable to provide us with such a document, you must provide a copy of your lease or your lease renewal letter covering the same period.
- If this is your first application, you must provide proof of age, 65 or over on May 1, 2023 (health insurance card, driver’s licence, birth certificate, etc.).
- A copy of your 2022 T4A (OAS) statement, including confirmation of receipt of the Guaranteed Income Supplement, issued by Employment and Social Development Canada.

A City representative may require any other document to verify compliance with the eligibility requirements for the grant program. In addition, any incomplete application will be returned to the grant applicant.
The cheque will be issued in November and sent by mail for all compliant requests received by September 29, 2023. We remind you that only one request may be made per address and that the amount of the grant will be determined based on the total number of requests received by the City.
