Financial support for Pointe-Claire seniors

The City of Pointe-Claire invites eligible citizens to apply for a grant from the financial support program for seniors from now until September 29, 2023.

This support is offered to anyone aged 65 or over residing in Pointe-Claire since May 1, 2023, as a tenant or homeowner and receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement paid by the Government of Canada under the Old Age Security Act.

The maximum amount per address is $100 and will be determined based on the total number of requests received. Only one request per address will be accepted.

Interested persons must present the following documents:

  • Grant application 2023 request form is attached to this mailing. You must complete and sign section A. If you are a tenant, section B must be signed by your landlord.
  • A copy of a monthly bill issued in your name (electricity, telephone, cable, etc.) covering a period including May 1, 2023. If you are unable to provide us with such a document, you must provide a copy of your lease or your lease renewal letter covering the same period.
  • If this is your first application, you must provide proof of age, 65 or over on May 1, 2023 (health insurance card, driver’s licence, birth certificate, etc.).
  • A copy of your 2022 T4A (OAS) statement, including confirmation of receipt of the Guaranteed Income Supplement, issued by Employment and Social Development Canada.
